Today I went through my files. I was surprised to find myself throwing out half the papers. It was obvious to me that I didn't need them anymore. I feel relieved.
The beginning of the year is a great time to go through your things and toss anything that doesn't support your life. It's easy for us to be aware of and throw out old food from our fridge, but it's not easy for us to find and toss old things in our home or office.
This blog's main purpose is to help you see the value in letting go of the things in your life that are spoiled, whose use has worn out.
When I let go of something in my life that I recognize as clutter I feel the peacefulness right away. It's soothing. I feel lighter emotionally. I find that I'm thinking more clearly.
The funny thing is when we are overwhelmed and stressed we aren't aware of how diminished our capacities are because our awareness is diminished. By peeling away the clutter, we are amazed to find our mental clarity return. This is one of our best resources. It helps us make good decisions and live a better life.
