Ease

My client on Saturday was feeling frantic. I asked her questions about an area of her office. Her emotions over took her. She began to passionately tell me about the things that she didn't want to have happen in her life. There was fear in her voice. Her body was tense. I asked her again about particular items in her office. She ranted about her fears of the future.

I said, "I'm not interested in hearing about what you don't want to happen. What do you want to have in your life?"

She stopped speaking briefly. She began again, "I'm so afraid that I'm going to lose the -"

I said, "No, I want to know what you want."

She was silent. Suddenly, a peacefulness descended on her. There was brightness in her eyes. She breathed. She said, "Ease." She was surprised and delighted.
