When we hold onto things that are no longer a part of our life, we diminish our lives. We invest a part of ourselves in something that doesn't support us.
When we decide to let go of the clutter, the attention goes from the object back to ourselves. We get nourished and strengthened. We are the better for it.
Think about the things in your life. See if one thing comes to mind as unessential and unimportant in your life. What is something you no longer care about? Or maybe it's something you never really liked. Today is a good day to let that item go. You can donate it. Or if it's trash you can throw it out.
Then notice the peace of mind that replaces it.
