When the things in our living space have become overwhelming, it's as if we are wincing from their effects. We're being assaulted by our stuff. It's natural that we'd want to give up. Like curling up in a ball to protect ourselves. If we stay in this caved in inner space, our anxiousness gets the best of us, and we suffer.

We need to be replenished in order to help ourselves through this situation.

It can help to spend some time outside our home, taking a walk. It serves us to notice the outside space. The openness of the sky. One street opening up into another. The fullness of trees. Our constriction can unravel from these encouraging examples.

The space we gain inside allows us to create new space around us.
