Putting Yourself First

When you live amidst things that don't serve you, your importance is downgraded to less than your clutter. You suffer while your stuff undeservedly thrives in your space.

But it doesn't have to remain that way. You can say to yourself, "I'm the most important person in the world. What do I need right now?"

I don't mean important as pompous. I mean you truly matter. Your comfort and needs are important. You know better than anyone else what you need, and you're the best person to take care of what's necessary for you.

I did that for myself this evening. I saw things in my space that were making me feel irritated and chaotic. I wanted to feel better. So I got up and clutter busted. I found some things that I didn't need and I removed them for good.  I discovered some other things that I like and use and put them away in a place where I knew I could find them when needed.

It felt good to put myself first.
